When my son was 3 I became a single mum, the financial pressures meant I needed additional income. I had already painted a couple of pieces of furniture for myself and friends had suggested I set up a business page on Facebook, so None Too Shabby Wigan was created. Within a few weeks I was earning more through my page than I was working full time, so I took the leap into my venture and never looked back. I soon outgrew my home garage and moved into a shop just 1 minute from home, only closing 6 years ago in order to have major surgery and move back online.

Over the years I’ve adapted what I do to include more art, which is where my heart is happiest. I’ve survived Covid (just!) and have many projects happening in 2023, I’m excited to see what this year brings I feel so blessed to have created something I still enjoy after all these years. Bring on the next 12 years
