Just to make sure that everyone knows…..Abitare delivers free of charge all over the UK.

Just about the whole planet has gone into sale mode. The instant that the second hand welcomed in the start of December, sale adevrts and winter sale adverts and january sale adverts have cropped up all over the place!

Except here at Abitare.

Its not that we arent doing a sale. We are. Everything in the shop and everything to order will all have great sale prices, that are guaranteed to help all our clients make their money go that little bit further.

Natuzzi are offering 20%. Here at Abitare we will be doing 20% and making a nice little contribuation towards the VAT increase that we will all suffer from in 2011. Not only that but we are still guaranteeing that we will not pass on the price increase of 7% that Natuzzi introduced in September 2010.

Thats what I call a sale and what that we will do a lot of shouting about!

I’m sorry for the terribly long delay since my last Blog. Its been that time of a crazy year when everything gets even more crazy!

As you know Abitare in Wigan, has the Largest display of Natuzzi products in the Uk. As a result we have seen clients coming from all over the UK and some new market sales in Spain, Mallorca and France. This has resulted in Abitare sales this year, growing by a huge 46%. Our combination of selection, service and ongoing sale discounts has been the main reason. Proving that without the combination of all 3 things, you just cant offer the complete package.

However we have been let down this year by poor deliveries. Natuzzi suffered a huge blow when its transport company had a fire, destroying 1 of 3 warehouses containing sold orders, all expoected by customers for pre Christmas delivery. The knock on effect has been that all orders have been slowed down and orders promised by Natuzzi for delivery in 2010, may now not arrive.

We will do our best to keep everyone informed.

In a strange move by Natuzzi UK, they announced yesterday that Guaranteed pre Christmas delivery on all Natuzzi orders would only be accepted until close of business on the 4th October 2010.

Good job then that at Abitare we deal directly with the factory in Italy! But just to make sure that we are on the right side of things, it would be a great idea if all orders were placed in the next 7 days!

Summer is a great time to relax and chill. Its also a pretty good time to take advantage of some great offers. The Italians aren’t the most generous people in the world when it comes to discount, but a combination of a stronger pound and some discounts, means that now is a great time to buy and to expect delivery in say October.

The discounts vary from supplier to supplier but in some case we can offer upto a 35% discount off normal retail prices and we can still offer interest free credit!

Two weeks ago before I left for the Milan furniture show, I promised a few of the worst hit Cresta customers, that I would talk again with Natuzzi to see if there was any extra help coming from them. I spoke at length to the Natuzzi UK Managing Director that runs both the Natuzzi Stores in the UK and looks after all the Natuzzi Gallery Sales. I had hoped that there would be some extra offer of help, but that is not the case. Natuzzi UK is not going to offer any extra help to those people that have lost money in paying cash, cheque or Maestro to Cresta for furnishings they will never get. There offer is simple. They will honour Cresta sale price at the time of purchase….plus the 7% price increase we all had in March 2010.

Maybe because this has all happened on my doorstep or because I have spoken face to face with so many people, but I feel very strongly about how terribly these clients have been treated in buying what should be a great piece of home furnishings. Perhaps I shouldnt make it personal, but it is.

So my offer at Abitare is still this. We will honour the old sale prices on the worthless Cresta contracts and we will NOT expect anyone to pay anything extra for the price increase. Also, I will do my very best and will work with all those clients that have lost money, to see if we can find a way to absorb their loss.
